Every three years the Cook County Assessors office completes a reassessment of the property values in Cook County. In Chicago this reassessment occurred in 2018. Homeowners in Chicago did not know the impact of this reassessment until the second installment bill of the 2018 tax year was released in June of 2019 because each tax year's property taxes are billed and due the following year. The Cook County Assessor determines the market value of your property. In many cases properties are overvalued and should be appealed. Call us for your free consultation and property tax analysis! We are real estate professionals who understand the market value of your property. We only charge if we win the appeal.
